1. About this policy

This policy explains how Paying Guest Bharat (PGBharat, “we” or “us”) handles information in connection with this website, including pgbharat.com and payingguestbharat.com, and enquiries you send to us. We provide PG listing and rental-enquiry assistance. This website currently has no sign-up forms, user accounts, booking checkout or on-site enquiry database.

2. Information involved

• Website requests: our hosting and security provider, Cloudflare, processes technical information needed to deliver and protect the site, such as IP address, browser/device details, request URL, referring website and request timing. URLs can include advertising campaign parameters.
• Information you send: a message or email may include your name, phone/account identity, email address, city, area, rental preferences, property name, rent, availability, photos and other details you choose to provide.
• Ad reference: two recognised campaign links can add the fixed label PGB-OWNER-A or PGB-OWNER-B to an owner’s prepared message. These labels identify the ad version, not a specific person. They are editable and do not record a completed listing or conversion.

Please do not send passwords, OTPs, payment-card or bank-account details, identity-document copies, or other sensitive information. Share only information and photos you are authorised to provide.

3. What happens when you open a message link

Our contact buttons open WhatsApp, a separate service. Opening the link passes the business number and prepared message text, including an applicable ad reference, to that service in the link. You can edit the message before sending it. PGBharat receives a chat message only after you send it.

The messaging service processes information under its own privacy policy. If you email us instead, email providers also process the message and its delivery information.

4. Why we use information

We use information to respond to the enquiry you initiate, understand a listing request or rental requirement, discuss relevant next steps, maintain necessary business records, address complaints, prevent misuse and meet applicable legal requirements. An enquiry alone does not sign you up for unrelated promotional messages.

We do not automatically publish a chat, property photo or phone number. We will explain and agree with you which property or contact details are to be published or shared for a listing or introduction. We do not sell personal information.

5. Hosting, fonts and browser storage

This site is hosted on Cloudflare. Hosting and security processing is described in Cloudflare’s privacy policy. Providers may process information in the locations where they operate; we do not promise that all processing is confined to India.

Fonts are served directly from this website. We do not add Google Analytics, a Meta Pixel, advertising cookies or persistent browser storage for lead tracking. Cloudflare may use cookies or similar mechanisms when needed for hosting or security. Third-party services you choose to open have their own cookie and privacy settings.

6. Retention and security

Messages, emails, photos and related business records can remain in the accounts and devices used to handle enquiries. We keep information only for as long as it is needed for the enquiry, an agreed listing, relevant business records or applicable legal requirements. There is no automatic deletion timer on this static website.

You can ask us to delete information we control. Some records may need to be retained for legal obligations or disputes, and independent service providers manage their own copies and backups under their policies. We will explain any relevant limits when handling your request.

The site uses HTTPS and restrictive browser security headers. These measures do not guarantee absolute security, and third-party messaging and email services have their own security arrangements.

7. Your choices and requests

You can choose not to contact us, decline to provide optional information, ask to correct or remove information, withdraw a listing or introduction request, or ask us to stop using your details for that request. We may ask for proportionate information to confirm that the request concerns your information; do not send sensitive identity documents unless a specific lawful need is explained.

We handle requests and complaints in accordance with applicable law. Withdrawing information needed for an enquiry may mean we cannot continue that enquiry. Nothing in this policy removes rights or remedies available under Indian law.

8. Children and changes

Our enquiry service is intended for adults aged 18 or over. A parent or guardian should make an enquiry for a minor without sending unnecessary personal information about the child. Contact us if you believe a child’s information has been shared so we can address it.

We may update this policy as the service changes. The date above identifies this version. We will update the notice before introducing materially different information uses or website features.
